A mug collection that speaks to you clearly and without words.

Context

eMuggis is a personal project that we launched on Redbubble’s dropshipping platform, inspired by the idea of bringing emotions to life through the most common everyday item - the coffee mug.

The challenge was taking on a full-scope project, handling everything from developing the business idea to brand creation, graphic designs for the mug prints, website development, and social media marketing for the whole year of 2022. It was an opportunity to dive deep into every aspect of launching a brand and see how far I could push my creative services.

Impact
Design & Development

The concept behind eMuggis is simple: a collection of mugs that feel like little personality portraits to be offered as souvenirs. Each mug features a playful character inspired by different feelings and moods, making them fun, relatable, and perfect for brightening up someone’s day.

From the brand’s identity to the designs and the social media content, everything was crafted with the idea of connecting with people on a personal level. I wanted the brand to resonate as something more than just a product line - it’s about the feelings we all share.

Results & LEarnings

Over nearly a year, we built eMuggis into a collection of 20 products, gained over 500 Instagram followers with only 60 posts, and received 2040 favorites on Redbubble. And, although sold two mugs, we learned that print-on-demand services are great for low to no-budget projects, but they can hurt profitability and make competitive pricing extremely difficult, and that this target audience engages more with products contextual photos over educational content like coffee trivia.

Despite the sales metrics, the website showed strong engagement – 19 seconds per session, and 65% engagement rate – hinting that a well-crafted site can effectively capture and hold visitors’ attention.

Those little sales made the whole thing feel much more exciting than I ever expected.
